The Beauty of Frozen Yogurt

Hello Friends,

Okay so if any of you are anything like me, then you have a massive sweet tooth. I honestly rarely crave chips, soda, or the oh so dreaded bread, but at least ten times a day I am wanting some chocolate of some sorts (dark chocolate that is, of course). However, this whole sweet tooth thing makes trying to eat clean rather difficult.

But don't worry friends, Angels sent from above known as: Pinkberry, Yogurtland, and Yumilicious, are here to help. I have recently become obsessed with frozen yogurt. Its the perfect treat, especially now during the summer on those long hot days. Its refreshing and yummy and the best part of all: if you plan it right, it actually is not too bad for you.

Now, just like every good thing, it has its bad parts. First, at Yogurtland and Yumilicious you make your own. It's basically a frozen yogurt buffett and comes with all the toppings. Therefore if you can't control yourself you might just end up with a treat worse than a big mac. Second, yogurt also comes at a price. It's not necessarily cheap but I definitely think its worth it.

However, if you are trying to eat clean, keep this in mind when putting together your dessert; Basic equals Better. They usually have a sugar free flavor or some sort so if you are going for less sugar that's a great option ( just beware of artificial chemicals you could be putting into your body). So when I go, I like to order either original flavor (which is very tart) or some sort of fruity flavor. Then when it comes to toppings, I try my best to stick to fruit and dark chocolate. Keep it clean and keep it simple. If i do this, my order almost always comes out to be under 200 calories and fairly low in sugar.

I know yogurt isn't a new "thing" by any means but I recently just remembered how much I love it! and I hope you love it just as much!

What is your favorite kind of FroYo? Let me know in the comments!

This is my order from today. It was lemonade froyo with mango popping boba and strawberries!

Blogging Update

Hello Friends,

As of this summer, I have been blogging for about 2 years now (wow, time really does fly). However, if you read this blog you would realize I have not posted that much! Well, just because I have been blogging for 2 years does not mean there has been one consistent blog for two years. I always start one...work on it for awhile...feel like I could make it better....delete it....then repeat the process. However, now that it is summer I really want to dedicate some serious time to this blog and make it the best it can be!

To kick-off this blog reboot, I want to start sharing this blog with all my friends and family. In the past I have been very skeptical to do so but now I feel confident in showing all my random thoughts and opinions! To help spread the word, I am also going to finally connect all my social media together so it will be easy access for people to find! It will mostly be lifestyle posts with a few beauty and fashion posts every once in a while. I really enjoy writing this blog, and I hope you can enjoy reading it as well. You can definitely expect more posts in the near future on this corky little blog!

Until then,

xx Morgan

Coachella Fashion 2014

Hello Friends,

So if you are even the least bit into social media, are under the age of 30, and don't live under a rock, I am sure you are aware that weekend 1 of the Coachella music festival went down this weekend. Coachella has grown so much lately that it is almost becoming like an award show with the amount of celebrities who attend! It takes place in the desert in Palm Springs, California and apparently the heat is insane ( I wouldn't know since I have never been:((((((((( ) However, who really cares about a little heat when you are getting to see all the hottest bands around live, wear all your new cute festival clothes, and see every celebrity you could imagine?

Not only has the festival grown famous over the years, but the fashion has become a major part of the culture of the event as well! Here are a few of my fave fashion moments from weekend 1 of Coachella!

Vanessa Hudgens a.k.a. queen of Coachella
 Model Alessandra Ambrosio

 Selena Gomes

One of my biggest fashion inspirations and a favorite couple of mine: Shenae Grimes and Josh Beech

Parmesan, Avocado, and Egg Toast

Hello Friends,

So I personally am a huge breakfast person, I can't go a day without eating something in the morning. So along with my cappuccino every morning this is one of my everyday go-to breakfastes...(don't think that is how you spell that) and its actually quite healthy and filling! Also it take little to no time to make!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/5 of an avocado
  • lemon pepper (optional)
  • parmesan
  • 1 slice of ezekiel bread
  • vegetable oil (for the egg)
Okay so first things first, you need to take your one slice of bread and put it in the toaster. After you have done that its time to start cooking your egg. You can make it however you like personally I prefer sunny side up, but scrambled or any other way tastes just as good. As your egg is cooking this is the perfect time to go ahead and start cutting the avocado. I like to cute two slices and that it. Once your toast is toasted, go ahead and mash the avocado on the bread and sprinkle a little cheese and some lemon pepper on top. Finally, once your egg is cooked place it on top of your amazing green mess and voila! You have a beautiful, healthy, and super filling breakfast! Enjoy!

Tea at Tiffany's

Hello friends,

So today I attended event with several of my friends. It was a tea for the graduating seniors at my school! The way it is run is the junior girls organize the event and then invite a senior to be their "date" to the tea. Because I have two best friends that are seniors, I had two dates:)

The theme for the tea was super cute and it was Tea at Tiffany's (like Breakfast at Tiffany's but tea...haha in case you didn't get the name). On the tv they played the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, they served us tiffany blue punch, wild berry tea, all the different types of cookies and scones you can imagine, and had a photo booth so we will remember it forever! Overall, it was a super fun spring event and I cannot wait to attend my own tea next year!

The Sunday Post

Hello friends,

This week was definitely an interesting one to say the least. I was in Houston until Sunday and then hurried home as I did have to get up very early the next morning for school....yeah Monday morning was not fun. But really when is Monday morning ever fun? Then Wednesday I received my first ticket ever. Yup I was caught speeding coming home from a workout. I can honestly say I will never speed again because getting pulled over is a scary experience in my opinion. Oh, and that fine and having to show up in court are definitely not fun either...

However, as the week went on it absolutely got better. Friday night, I had a really nice catch up with my friend danielle at one of my favorite coffee shops in Dallas, Mudsmith. It is down on Lower Greenville and my favorite place to people watch ( I mean the coffee is pretty good too). Then Saturday morning, my dad and I went back to Mudsmith and enjoyed wonderful cappuccinos and discussed the major differences between me and my sister...it is quite funny how different we are. That afternoon, I accomplished some major shopping and got a dress for a tea I am attending Monday as well as a formal dress. And to top off the weekend I had a super fun celebration for one of my best friends birthday Saturday night. We started off the evening grabbing dinner at The Porch, (best. restaurant. in. Dallas. Hands. Down.) if you go there make sure you get their tomato basil soup, it's SO good! After dinner and about a billion pictures, we headed back to Haley's for cake, hot tub, and fire! It was a perfect evening with the best people! This morning has been very relaxing and I am so happy I can finally start posting on this blog! I have been working really hard on this so I hope you enjoy this post and have an amazing Sunday!:)
